Monte Graciosa and Lighthouse of Tarrafal Bay

Have a nice daily walk in the surrounding of Tarrafal with our local guide. The Monte Graciosa is the small mountain behind the beach of Tarrafal.

With its 645 m, Monte Graciosa is the highest Mountain to the nothern of the Natural Park Serra Malagueta. On its top you have a spectacular view to the village of Tarrafal, to the north of the island and to the east coast. On clear days you will even see the vulcano of Fogo.

The hike goes from Monte Graciosa down to the lighthouse and back to Tarrafal along the coastline. At the Lighthouse you can observe rare species of birds and take a bath in the natural pool. We highly recommend to make this hike only with local guide because of safety reason.

Need of good shoes and sun protection- 2.5 liter of water per person is recommended!
