Generally Cabo Verde is a safe place. In Praia and Mindelo, like in every capital in the world, you have to be more careful for pickpockets. Take Taxis at night and don’t walk along empty roads. Money and Passport are safest at the Hotel.

The City of Tarrafal Santiago is fairly safe. At night, if you walk in empty streets, go in groups. For the hike to the lighthouse go only with local guide.

In some parts of Santiago Island, the Police and the Government recommend to hike only with a local guide. Contact us for further information.
